Terms and conditions
By reading this site you accept these terms. If you disagree with them, the honest answer is to stop reading, and no hard feelings.
By reading this site you accept these terms. If you disagree with them, the honest answer is to stop reading, and no hard feelings.
A working draft that matches how the site actually operates. Have a qualified lawyer adapt it to your jurisdiction and insert the entity name, governing law, and dispute venue.
1. Using the site
You may read, print, bookmark, and share our articles for personal and non-commercial use. No account is required and nothing is behind a paywall.
You may not:
- Republish full articles, in any language, without written permission.
- Scrape or bulk-download the site to build a dataset, train a model, or feed a content farm.
- Present our reporting as your own, or strip attribution credits.
- Attack the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or attempt to interfere with other readers’ access.
- Use our name, wordmark, or article extracts to imply that we endorse a product, treatment, or company. We endorse nothing.
2. Quoting and republishing
Quote up to two paragraphs with clear attribution and a working link to the original article. That’s a standing yes, no email needed. Anything longer, translations, syndication, or use in commercial material needs written permission: ask us. Permission is often granted and always free for non-profit health education.
3. Intellectual property
Articles, headlines, illustrations, the design system, and the HealthJournalHub name are ours or licensed to us. Third-party quotations, study figures, and cited data remain the property of their original owners and are used under fair dealing or fair use for reporting and commentary.
4. Nature of the content
This site publishes journalism about health research. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it does not create a clinician-patient relationship. Details are in the medical disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
Articles are accurate to the best of our knowledge on their publication date. Medical evidence moves. An article from two years ago may have been overtaken by newer trials, which is why every piece carries a visible publication and update date.
5. External links and advertising
We link to studies, guidelines, and other publications because that’s what sourcing looks like. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, their privacy practices, or what they do after we link to them.
Advertising is served programmatically and labelled. An ad appearing next to an article is not an endorsement, is not chosen by our editors, and has no influence on coverage.
6. Liability
The site is provided as-is. We work hard on accuracy but we don’t warrant that every article is complete, current, or free of error, and we don’t accept liability for decisions you make based on what you read here. Health decisions belong with you and a qualified clinician who knows your history.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Corrections and takedowns
If an article contains a factual error, tell us and we’ll fix it and log the correction. If you believe content infringes your rights or seriously misrepresents your research, email corrections@healthjournalhub.com with specifics. We take accuracy complaints seriously and legal threats about accurate reporting rather less so.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the version number and date at the top change when we do, and continued use after that means acceptance. We may block access for anyone abusing the site, and we may add, change, or remove content at any time.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction named below, and disputes go to its courts.
Entity name, registered address, governing law, and venue to be inserted before launch.
